Music for Youth Regional Festival
Mon 28 Mar 2022Some of Moulsham High School's Music students attended the Music for Youth Regional Festival in Southampton recently.
'Music for Youth’ is a national music education charity, providing free access to performance and audience opportunities for young musicians across the UK, through its annual festivals, competitions and concerts. The organisation arranges events across the UK at which any group, aged 21 and under, can perform. The festivals showcase all styles of music and are a great opportunity to receive feedback from music industry professionals.
Moulsham High's Samba Band and choir (Las Estrellas) wowed audiences with their amazing performances. Judging feedback was glowing. We now await the result to see if either or both ensembles have progresses through to the national stage held in Birmingham in July this year.

RE Virtual Workshops with GSUS Live

They were invited to provide advice and guidance to their virtual counterparts' problems and issues on these themes, whilst also reflecting on whether their feedback and views matched Christian beliefs and teachings.
A very worthwhile experience to accompany their studies!

Year 8 Student enters Fortnum & Mason Queen's Platinum Jubilee Pudding Competition
Fri 04 Feb 2022Huge congratulations to Moulsham High School Year 8 student, Lilia E, for baking an amazing pudding for entry to the Fortnum & Mason Queens Platinum Jubilee Platinum Pudding Competition.
The Platinum Pudding Competition marks the beginning of the official celebrations for the jubilee. Launched by Fortnum & Mason on Monday 10 January, it aims to find a dessert worthy of dedicating to the Queen’s 70 years on the throne.
Recipes will be judged by an expert panel that includes culinary legend Dame Mary Berry, Great British Bake Off star Liam Charles and MasterChef: The Professionals maestro, Monica Galetti.
They will be judging a range of criteria: it must be an original recipe that (obviously) tastes great, is perfect for amateur bakers to make at home and looks fit for a Queen.
It also helps if the pudding has a memorable story behind it – perhaps it’s inspired by the monarch herself, or come from a recipe passed down through generations of your own family.
Lilia is a very talented baker and we are sure the judges will be delighted by her delicious creation! Fingers crossed in the competition Lilia!
