Sixth Form Dress Code

Q. What is the Sixth Form Dress Code?

A. The full Sixth Form dress code policy can be accessed below. Essentially, students are expected to wear tailored trousers or knee-length skirt/dress, and a collared shirt or blouse with their shoulders covered.

Q. Are suits required?

A. If students are meeting the existing "business dress" guidelines then they will not be expected to buy a full suit, however suit jackets are recommended for colder weather.

Q. Can jumpers be worn in colder months?

A. Yes. Jumpers or cardigans may be worn, but must not have any logo on or be hooded.

Q. Can trainers be worn?

A. Except in exceptional circumstances (such as injury to foot/ankle) trainers are not permitted. Smart, formal shoes should be worn.

Q. Does all clothing have to be monochrome?

A. No, any colour clothing is permitted - we encourage students to show their personality within the clothing guidelines. Particularly bright colours should be avoided.

Q. What happens if the dress code is not met?

A. If a student is found to be wearing something that does not meet the dress code requirements (such as skirts above the knee, "cold shoulder" tops, or "Bardot" tops), they will be sent to Student Services to borrow a year 11 uniform or will be sent home.
