I am delighted to welcome you to Moulsham High School’s website. Whether you are a current or prospective parent, or you are considering applying for a job with us, I hope you will find it helpful and informative. Please also feel free to contact us directly on 01245 260101 if you require any further information about the school or would like to arrange a visit to see what we have to offer at first-hand.

Moulsham is a high performing comprehensive school for students aged 11-18. ‘The Real Schools Guide’ has ranked it as the top non-selective school in Essex for the last two years. Staff and students work together extremely well and there is a calm, purposeful atmosphere throughout the school. Behaviour is exemplary and it is a place where both students and staff feel happy and safe.

We are very proud of our school and would be delighted to show you around our beautiful site with its fantastic, modern facilities and where you will see high quality learning taking place.

Ethos and Values:

Moulsham High School has three core values which are inextricably linked: 'Enjoy, Enrich and Achieve'.

Our ethos is for students of all abilities and backgrounds to feel valued so that they can reach their potential, not only as students but also as well -rounded individuals who are prepared for life in the modern world and can contribute positively to their local and wider communities.

Our students:

  • ENJOY coming to school and learning through the wide variety of experiences offered to them.
  • Are ENRICHED by a wealth of opportunities both inside and outside of the taught curriculum, that also ensure all of their talents are identified and nurtured.
  • ACHIEVE high standards:
    • academically, in terms of the qualifications they gain.
    • personally, through the quality of their relationships with others and their respect for the environment.
    • socially, through their contributions to the life of the school and wider community.
