Moulsham Young Authors

Welcome to the English Department’s blog which showcases our very talented students’ work. We are pleased to display the very best of our young talented writers' work ranging from short stories, poems, essays and many more.

A poignant and moving short story written by Lottie S 9M1. Inspired by the circle of life and written from the perspective of a water droplet and its journey through time.

" I felt inclined to write something calm and natural as lately I have been influenced by the aesthetic Cottagecore. This focuses on nature and self-sustainability and as I'm appreciative of nature I was inspired to write something about the delicate world we inhabit..." Lottie S 9M1

Maria M in Year 7 has written an awe-inspiring account inspired by the idea of growth and finding light in moments of darkness, 'a thing of beauty is a joy forever; its loveliness increases and it shall never pass into nothingness' - Keats 1817

Well done to Sophie H in Year 7 for this outstanding poem! Sophie's poem was inspired by Yeats' Never Give all to Heart - and selected by Miss Ritchie for its fluency, heart and originality. Congratulations on becoming the first student to be awarded a position on Moulsham's Young Authors Blog 2020.
