  • School of Rock!

    Tue 30 Oct 2018

The Performing Arts Department are proud to announce that the School Production for 2019 will be School of Rock!

    About School of Rock

Sharpen your pencils, get out those books, and tune that guitar — let’s get ready to rock!

Welcome to the wild world of School of Rock the Musical, with music from the legendary Andrew Lloyd Webber, lyrics by Glenn Slater, and book by Julian Fellowes. Based on the 2003 Paramount Pictures movie written by Mike White, the story follows Dewey Finn, a wannabe musician who poses as a substitute teacher at a fancy prep school. The fun begins when it’s clear that the only lesson he’s interested in teaching is how to rock!

  • Collecting GCSE and A Level coursework

    Mon 29 Oct 2018

The Art Department would like to advise students that they will be able to collect their GCSE and A Level coursework on Fridays after 3.30pm from now until Friday 14th December 2018.

We would appreciate you still calling the school in advance so we can get your work out ready for you or if we have any unforeseen circumstances that mean we cannot do this on a particular Friday.

If you are unable to come in person, please contact Miss Parrott to let her know who will be collecting on your behalf.

Please note that any work that is not collected by the end of term may be disposed of.

Some work may be displayed in and around school and we would like to display this until the end of the school year for promotional and educational  purposes.  Students can discuss this directly with Miss Parrott.

  • MHS Celebrates 80th Birthday with Autumn Concert

    Wed 17 Oct 2018

On 17th October, students performed a series of group concerts to celebrate 80 years of Moulsham schools, in commemoration of the first student concert which took place in 1938 to celebrate the musical talents of our students.

A number of student musical groups took part, including:

    • Las Estrellas
    • The Guitar Group
    • The Concert Band
    • The Samba band
    • Moulsham Singers
    • Jazz Band

A huge thank you and congratulations to all the students who took part in this celebration - a particular commendation to the Moulsham Singers' take on "Valerie" by McCabe and Parry.

We look forward to the continuation of these concert events; celebrating the success and talents of our students with their outstanding musical abilities, which proudly represent our school.
