Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What should I wear?
A. We have strict uniform rules, and you must keep to them at all times. To read more about the uniform you will be expected to wear, please see the uniform page of our website under 'Parent Zone'.
Q. Can I ride my bike to school?
A. Yes, you are more than welcome to cycle to school. We have bicycle racks available, and advise that you bring a lock with you to secure your bike.
Q. What should I do if I am late for school?
A. Your parent or guardian should call 01245 504504 and let us know that you're running late.
If you arrive late for registration, you should report to your Form Tutor. If you arrive outside of registration, you should sign in at Student Services. You will be given a late mark (L), which will be noted alongside the amount of minutes you were late.
Q. Can I buy food at school?
A. Yes! The Food Factory serves a selection of hot and cold food, as well as drinks and snacks. You won't need cash though, as all payments are taken from your lunch account - your parent or guardian can top this up for you.
Q. What do I do if I am unwell?
A.If you are feeling ill or are in pain, you must ask your Teacher if you may be excused from your lesson to go and see the Medical Officer, in the Medical Room, next to the Reprographics Department.
Your Teacher must sign your planner to say you have permission to be out of lesson.
Q. Can I bring my phone to school?
A. We advise against bringing any valuables (including mobile phones) to school, but if you do bring a phone then it must remain turned off in your school bag at all times. You can also hand it in to your Pastoral Manager for safekeeping.
If you have any further questions or would like to leave feedback, please email your Standards & Progress Leader or Pastoral Manager.
