Friday 10th November 2017 - District cross country has taken place this week at Hylands and Moulsham High School were able to field teams of students in all age groups, which is an excellent achievement. 

Team performances across the age groups were also excellent, with the senior girls (Sixth Form Team) winning, and the Junior Girls District Champion being awarded to Lauryn W. 

Mrs Whitmarsh from Moulsham High said : “Well done to all who took part.  Students finishing in the top 8 individually will gain selection to represent Mid-Essex in January, with students from 9^th-16^th place acting as reserves, so congratulations to Lauren W, Olivia R, Hannah B, Faye S, Rachel B, Mollie M, Jenny C and Emily J, who have been selected from MHS.” 

Winners and their finishing places are listed below: 

Year 7 girls- 12th position - Heidi R- 10^th, Rebecca S- 31^st, Freya R- 44^th, Ruby P- 111^th, Emilia M- 128^th, Vicky P- 144^th.

Junior girls (8/9)- A team 2nd position;  B team 9^th position – Lauryn W – 1^st, Olivia R – 5^th,  
Poppie G- 19^th, Anna L- 21^st, Rebekah L- 31^st, Sienna W- 33^rd, Phoebe K- 55^th, Isabel D- 60^th, Lily Y- 98^th, Lauren D- 106^th.

Inter girls- 2nd position – Hannah B – 3^rd, Faye S – 4^th,  Millie D - 26^th, Maia S- 30^th.

Senior girls- district champions  -  Rachel B – 3^rd, Mollie M – 6^th, Jenny C – 7^th, Emily J – 8^th. 

Year 7 boys- 13th position  -  Tom W- 2^nd, Alexander L- 29^th, Theo B- 87^th, Marley B- 100^th,
James N- 121^st.

Junior boys- 9th (fantastic result considering that these are all year 8 students taking part in a year 9 race  -  Tom I- 14^th, Daniel P- 33^rd, Jacob A- 34^th, Ben B- 78^th, Kian A- 99^th, Louie-Jac K- 125^th,
George D- 126^th.

Inter boys- 10th position  -  Alex B- 36^th, Ben W- 38^th, Sam R- 51^st, Cameron B- 56^th.

Senior boys- 3rd position  -  Alex T- 12^th, Olli C- 13^th, Jack C- 14^th, Joe S- 16^th.
