Fourth Consecutive Year of Outstanding GCSE Results!
Thu 22 Aug 2019Moulsham High School students have achieved outstanding GCSE results for the fourth consecutive year.
As a result of their exceptional hard work, 80% of students achieved at least a grade 4 in both English and maths. 30% of grades awarded across all subjects were grades 9-7.
All 246 students in Year 11 were entered for at least 8 GCSEs and we are particularly proud of the high level of academic and pastoral support received as they achieved their qualifications.
Having been ranked as one of the top schools in Essex (by the Real School Guide) for the last two years, this year’s students have certainly maintained Moulsham’s high academic standards.
Miss J. Mead, Headteacher, said: "I am extremely proud of all our students. Their exceptional results are a reflection of the hard work and dedication they and their teachers have shown. I would also like to thank our parents who have worked in strong partnership with the school to achieve the best possible outcomes for their children."

Another Successful Year for Moulsham High School Sixth Form Students
Thu 15 Aug 2019Post-16 students at Moulsham High School have once again achieved fantastic results in this summer’s public examinations:
- 83% of all A level grades were A*-C
- 76% of all students taking the Extended Project Qualification achieved grades A*-B
- 100% of all students sitting applied general subjects achieved a distinction or distinction *
Miss J. Mead, Headteacher, said: “We are immensely proud of all our students’ achievements. It is fantastic that we have several students who gained top grades in all of their subjects, but we are equally as delighted to celebrate the fact that so many others have fulfilled their potential and can now take their next steps with ease, many of them enrolling in Oxbridge and Russell Group universities.
We would like to thank staff and parents who have given our students such exceptional support this year but, ultimately, we wish to congratulate the students themselves for achieving these wonderful results which they rightly deserve. We are proud of them all.”
