Supporting your Child Through Exams

Exams can be a stressful time, but there are things you can do to help your child. The documents on the right-hand side offer revision advice you can share with your child, and the links below offer practical advice and information on stress and well-being during exam periods:

Exam Results Days

The 2019 exams results days are:

Results Date Time
A Level Results (Year 13) Thursday 15th August 2019 tbc
AS Level Results (Year 12) Thursday 15th August 2019 tbc
GCSE Results (Year 11) Thursday 22rd August 2019 tbc

On the dates above, your child should come to the school to collect their exam results. These will come on a slip which details all of their results, and certificates will be posted out at a later date. This slip can be used to prove their results for entry into Sixth Form, college, or university.

If your child is unable to collect their results in person, they can be sent out via email. To request this, please contact the Exams Manager using the link on the right of this page

Appealing an Exam Result

If you would like to request that an exam result is reviewed, please contact our Exams Manager using the link on the right-hand side. You may also request this directly from the relevant exam board(s):

You can read more about reviewing exam results, including making an appeal to Ofqual, on the UK government website.

Missing or Damaged Exam Certificates

Exams taken up to 6 years ago

If your child left Moulsham High School less than 6 academic years ago, you can request copies of their qualifications directly from the school. Please contact our Exams Manager using the link on the right-hand side of this page.

Exams taken more than 6 years ago

Due to Data Protection Legislation, we do not hold results for more than 6 academic years after your child has left Moulsham High School.

If you need replacement GCSE or A-Level certificates after this time, you should apply directly to the relevant exam board(s):

  • AQA
  • Pearson (Pearson BTEC, Edexcel or EDI qualification)
  • OCR
  • CCEA (IT or Business Studies qualifications from 1999-2010)
