More Success For Moulsham High School Students!

Today Year 11 have received an outstanding set of G.C.S.E. results which we are very proud of.

The 2018 exam season saw our students facing the challenges posed by the new, more demanding 1-9 examinations which have been introduced in most subjects.  They have risen to these magnificently, exceeding the targets we set them.    Every student achieved G.C.S.E.s in at least 8 subjects and there were also a significant number of grade 9s across the curriculum.

Staff also went above and beyond to prepare our students for examinations no one had ever seen before.

81% of our students achieved a good pass (grade 4) in English Language and 84% in English Literature (compared to 62% and 73% respectively nationally).

76% of all students gained a good pass (grade 4) in maths (compared to 60% nationally).

There were also a number of outstanding results in other G.C.S.E. subjects that were significantly above national average for all schools, including grammar schools.  These included:

Having been ranked as one of the top schools in Essex (‘Real Schools Guide’) for the last few years, Year 11 2018 have certainly maintained Moulsham’s high academic standards.
