MHS Boys Basketball District Win

This achievement is not to be underestimated as students in the local area are strong, confident and experienced in winning school basketball competitions.   The Moulsham High School boys worked incredibly hard for this success, both during the game and in training all year.

The game was very close early on, and at half time there were only 4 points between the teams.  Moulsham played an excellent third quarter and managed to increase their lead to 10 points going in the last quarter.

Great Baddow pushed very hard in return, and brought the game back to within 1 point with only 2 minutes on the clock, but the team showed tremendous resilience, skill and tactical understanding to score the last basket with just 20 seconds on the clock, and then deny the opposition any further point scoring attempts.

Mr Robson from Moulsham High said “The boys conduct and sportsmanship were impeccable.  Well done and congratulations to Tom N, Ben B, James B, Sam I, Matthew H, George D, Tom K, George P, Cian A and Luke C.”

Mr Robson went on to say “I would also like to mention Mr De’Ath’s role in coaching the boys during the academic year and getting them ready for the final.  Mr De’ath leaves Moulsham High this term and the boys wish him all the best in his change of career.”
