Skicross Success for Year 9 Student

Following on from the update in November, Nicholas B, a Year 9 student has been continuing with his Skicross success.  The most recent event Nicholas raced at was in Melchsee Frutt in Switzerland during the beginning of April, finishing 4th and 2nd in the two races.

The results achieved in Switzerland, combined with his 2nd and 8th place obtained earlier in the season, placed Nicholas 3rd place overall in the Audi Kids Skicross Tour this winter, and was the top ranked boy in his 2002 birth year.  Nicholas also competed in the British Skicross Championships in Laax in Switzerland, he came first in the under 16 age group this year, as he did in the same competition last year.

Mr Bingham (father of Nicholas) said;  ‘We would like to thank the school for the support they have shown for Nick’s ski racing this season, enabling him to meet both of his sporting goals over the winter.  This great start will help him achieve his long-term future goals in the 2020 World Junior Championship representing Great Britain, as well as in the 2020 Youth Olympic Games in Lausanne’.

We wish Nicholas the very best of luck for the future.
